dc.description.abstractThe objective of this paper is to explore the development of the multi-model transport of cargo in China, especially focusing on the inland ports in China. The entry point of this research is focusing on the progress of containerization of China, the writer assume that the use of container would reduce the transportation cost and waste of time. This paper use the literature review and multiple case study as the methodology, collected the insights from five SME’s in this industry. The results show the containerization is necessary for the development of multi-modal transportation. The findings could be useful for further studies which focus on making an industrial standard in multi-model cargo transportation. And the findings are helpful for government departments and companies which are in the field of transportation.en_US
